Introducing Literature Circles
I have had one of the best days ever! Today I was very lucky to be able to go round most of our classrooms and introduce the Literature Circles programme to the children. I was so impressed and overwhelmed by your enthusiasm and love of books.
Make sure that you come and tell me about the books you are reading and give me ideas for other books and series that we can buy, even better - add your thoughts to the blog! I would love to read your ideas and comments and I will always respond to your comments.
Keep up the enthusiasm and love of reading - it is something you can have as a wonderful hobby all your lives. :-)
Thank you for letting me come into your classrooms.

Books We're Reading in Room 8 and Other Places
Hi everyone
It's been a wee while since the last post so I'm hoping to get things going again with a discussion on what we're currently reading.
You don't have to be in Rm 8 to comment. Just jump online and add your thoughts.
We'd love more ideas for Literature Circle books too.
Please add to the list for those under the post further down the page.

Ideas for books to add to our collection
Hi everyone
Keep the comments coming about favourite books. The children have enjoyed reading your comments
and seeing how many of the books you've read are still popular today.
This time, we'd love some comments about books you would like to see in our Literature Circle collection.
This can be for any age from 5 years up to 11 years.
Don't forget to become a follower. If you have any problems with becoming a follower, let me (Justine) know and
I can help sort this out.
I'm looking forward to reading your ideas!

Favourite Books and More
I am really enjoying reading all of the comments about your favourite books. This is a discussion that could go on for a long time I think! Great to see.
In the next wee while, I will add a post where you can suggest some books that you would like
to see in the Literature Circles books in the school. I would love to see some recommendations from some of our younger children too.
In the meantime, please keep those comments coming and don't forget to become a follower on the blog. It's great to see that some of the classes have included comments on this blog as part of their homework. Keep up the awesome effort.

More about our favourite books!
I have really enjoyed reading about all the books our teachers have enjoyed as children! What a wonderful and diverse range. I hope other parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and , of course, children keep adding to the discussion. Don't forget to become followers everyone! I wonder how many followers we can get before the end of the term??
